EVGENY KORELIN
YOUR INNER SPACE

Meditation is the practice of immersing oneself in the exploration of the unconscious to restore one’s energy supply. This past spring is often labeled one of isolation in closed spaces, uncertainty, anxiety, fear, exhaustion, and burnout. In this piece, the artist draws on the sounds of his hometown and personal history, inviting the listener to share a meditation session with him.

Evgeny Korelin was born in the town of Kotlas, Arkhangelsk Region. He has been based in St. Petersburg since 2008, where he works in drawing, painting, sound art, and street art. He studied Mural Painting at the St. Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design, graduating in 2015. In 2008–09 he studied Easel Painting under Vladimir Pesikov at the Repin Academic Institute of Fine Arts. He is currently enrolled at the Pro Arte School for Young Artists.
