Full Basket is a large container filled with textile waste. Waste is one of many environmental issues that artists currently address in their work, issues that are obvious to most thinking citizens because it plagues our species virtually everywhere. The sculpture presents an enormous amount of fabrics and other textiles in a simple and elegant fashion, with the intent of making meaning that otherwise would not exist.  The development and power of simple form is paramount.

Steven Siegel is an American artist whose work includes public art, installation art, sculpture, collage and film.He is most known for site-specific, outdoor sculptures, public art commissions and installations made from repurposed pre- and post consumer materials, which have been influenced by concepts and processes derived from geology and evolutionary biology.
