IS YOUR MIND FULL OF GOOD?
Is Your Mind Full of Good? is a question that the artist Elżbieta Jabłońska borrowed from the teachings of Tibetan Buddhist master Atiśa. This work of the same name takes the form of a scupture that raises questions about our individual relationships to things, the ethical choices that we make each day, and also our feelings of responsibility for other people.
Elżbieta Jabłońska is an artist from Poland. She teaches at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Jabłońska’s art addresses the staus and role of women in patriarchal society and their everyday activites. Her works use and transform cultural stereotypes and cliches about women and femininity. She works with a variety of space- and time-based media. Jabłońska is the winner of the 2003 Deutche Bank Foundation VIEWS Award.
