In a world of compromise and challenge, it’s important we remain deeply rooted in movement, grounded and founded in who we are. This project is about bringing three disparate dance groups together in a supportive way that demonstrates our common need: to remain true and honest in movement that we feel best represents who we are. During challenging times, we can help and support each other by sharing and caring for one another through cooperation and mutual appreciation—always.
Founded by Peter G. Kalivas in 2002, The PGK DANCE Project is a professional contemporary dance theater group presenting the work of a wide variety of artists representing diverse styles and points of view with a mission to bring diverse dance styles to a wider audience. We pick non-traditional dance venues that are an extension of the community they are a part of. We believe the audience is a collaborative part of our performance and we often arrange seating in a way that encourages interaction.
